This Privacy Policy explains how the FOCUS Digital mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. FOCUS Digital is a digital magazine reader. We have designed the App to collect as little information as possible, and we do not require you to create an account or sign in.

Summary

• We do not collect, store, or sell personal information.
• We do not use advertising or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
• Your favorites, downloaded editions, and theme preference are stored only on your device.
• The App connects to the internet only to load the magazine catalog and content.

Information stored on your device

The following are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted to us:

• Favorites — editions you mark as favorite.
• Downloads — editions you save for offline reading.
• Preferences — such as your light/dark theme choice.

This information is removed when you delete the App or clear its data.

Information processed to deliver content

To show the magazine catalog and let you read editions, the App requests data from our servers and content delivery network. As with any internet request, our hosting providers automatically process technical connection data (such as your IP address, device type, and operating system version) for the sole purpose of delivering the requested content and maintaining security. We do not use this data to identify you or build a profile.

Third-party services

The App relies on the following services to function:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts the magazine catalog API.
• FOCUS content delivery network (ezine-cdn.com) — delivers magazine covers and reading content.
• Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com) — the App may download its display font at runtime; Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions

On Android, the App requests only the INTERNET permission. On iOS, the App does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or other sensitive data.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. All data created by your use of the App lives on your device and can be removed at any time by deleting the App or clearing its storage from your device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
